Seniors may come to school on Tues. July 15th to make any necessary schedule changes. Schedules will be mailed the week of July 7. Juniors and sophomores may pick up schedules at MCHS on Wed. July 16. New students will be enrolled on Thurs. July 17th. You will need 2 proofs of residency, report card/withdrawal from previous school, shot record, birth certificate, social security card and custody papers, if applicable.

SENIORS ONLY: Senior Picture Proofs are Ready

Seniors who had senior pictures made in June may pick up picture proofs in the commons on FRIDAY, July 18 from 10:00 - 12:30. Anyone may pick up the proofs for you. You will be given ordering and return information with the proofs.

McNairy Central High School will hold its 39th Commencement Exercises on Friday, May 23rd at 7 pm in the Gymnasium. Doors will open at 5:30. The Class of 2008 will graduate 178 members.

ATHLETICS: Sanders & Smith Sign Football Scholarships

Senior Bobcats Neal Sanders and Ryan Smith signed college football scholarships on May 8. Neal signed with Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky; Ryan signed with Maryville College in Maryville, TN. Union coach Travis Bethel says "Neal will be a great addition to our defensive line at Union. He has a great nose for football and a motor that does not quit." Jim Elliott, Maryville coach, says "Ryan..exhibits all the characteristics we look for in our recruiting efforts. I think he will be a valuable contributor to the program in a fair amount of time." Congratulations to these senior Bobcats!

UPCOMING: Bobcat Band Seafood Fundraiser

If you have a hankering for some really great food, then look no further because it is time for the Bobcat Band Seafood Fundraiser! It will take place Saturday, May 10 from 4:30-7:30 in the MCHS Commons. Tickets are $15 for adults. I know you think that sounds a little pricey, but you haven't heard the menu yet! Items include pork and sausage jambalaya, shrimp gumbo, cajun boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, fried catfish, shrimp boulettes (shrimp balls), hush puppies, white beans, cole slaw, chicken strips, fries, and assorted deserts. Oh yeah, and did I mention it's "all you can eat" ! So come out and enjoy some great food in a great atmosphere and help support the Bobcat Band at the same time ! SEE YOU THERE

MUSIC & ART: Jazz Band and Percussion Concert

The annual Jazz Band and Percussion concert will be on Tuesday, May 6 at 7:00 in the Little Theatre. Admission is $2. The Jazz Band is featuring modern blues and swing tunes that will be sure to get your toes tapping. If you attended the spring show, you got a taste of what these students are capable of. The other half of the concert features the Percussion section performing original music by Jeff Miller, the MCHS percussion instructor. This looks to be a great concert that you will not want to miss!

UPCOMING: PassPort to Memories

The annual Junior-Senior Prom, "Passport to Memories", will be held May 1st from 7-11 in the Commons. Parents of seniors are invited to attend the program portion, which will begin at 7:00 in the Little Theater.
